Who We Are

The Northwest Colorado Outdoor Coalition (NCOC) is the ultimate partnership for outdoor enthusiasts in Moffat and Rio Blanco counties. Our objective as a community partnership is to create collaboration among regional stakeholders to design a shared vision of outdoor recreation and conservation for our future.

Our Region

Moffat and Rio Blanco counties combined boast more than 5200 square miles of pristine public lands. (An area nearly the size of of Connecticut!) Our region encompasses a diverse landscape that gives rise to several distinct ecosystems, shaped by unique geology, elevation, climate, and vegetation. Nestled among majestic mountains and sweeping valleys, the sheer magnificence of nature offers an unrivaled playground for outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers of all kinds.

Our Priorities

The Great Northwest region of Colorado is a magnificent landscape of untamed, natural splendor primed for wild adventure! We aim to balance preservation of the unique characteristics of the area with improved opportunities for recreation by setting our sights on these targets:
